Third-year students in the Department of Horticulture and its Techniques at Sana’a University’s Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment conducted a practical activity at the faculty's agricultural nursery. Held as part of the course requirements for "Taxonomy, Production, and Uses of Ornamental Plants," the activity was supervised by Eng. Manal Abdullateef Al-Liwaa as part of ongoing efforts to enhance practical education and develop students' specialized skills.
The activity featured a field tour of the nursery, where students explored its core components and operational inputs. They identified various types of ornamental plants, learning their names, characteristics, and applications. This hands-on experience served to reinforce their academic knowledge and equip them with essential skills for ornamental plant production as well as the scientific and technical management of agricultural nurseries.
This initiative reflects the commitment of Sana’a University's Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment to advancing agricultural education, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, and providing students with experiential learning opportunities. These efforts aim to raise students' academic and professional competence, preparing them to meet the demands of the horticulture and plant production sectors.
