Sana’a – Sana’a University Media OfficeSaturday, September 12, 2026, (1 Rabi‘ al-Thani 1448 AH)Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shaiban and Sana’a University Rector and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait University Hospital, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, today launched the Second Free Charitable Medical Camp for Children at Kuwait University Hospital. The five-day camp provides free medical services to children.The camp offers free medical consultations, examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and medications across several specialties, including endocrinology, respiratory diseases, cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, hematology, and neonatology. 

The camp is staffed by a distinguished team of the hospital’s pediatric consultants and physicians.Director of Kuwait University Hospital Dr. Abdullatif Abu Talib said that this camp builds on the success of the first medical camp, which benefited approximately 1,200 children. He affirmed the hospital’s continued commitment to implementing medical and humanitarian initiatives that serve the community and help alleviate the healthcare burden on families.Prof. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the community-service role of Sana’a University and Kuwait University Hospital and providing high-quality healthcare services to citizens. 

He also commended the efforts of the medical and administrative teams and the organizations supporting the camp.Following the launch, the Minister of Health and Environment, the Rector, and the Hospital Director inaugurated the Dental Department after its renovation and refurbishment, along with a dedicated hospital ward with a capacity of 42 beds. 

They also reviewed progress on the project to develop the Dermatology Department.The visitors commended the level of development taking place at Kuwait University Hospital, stressing the importance of continuing to improve medical services and strengthening the hospital’s role in providing healthcare and serving the community.
