Third-year field trainees from the Department of Social Work at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University, conducted an educational awareness initiative at Al-Shaheed Al-Osaimi School titled "My School is My Responsibility." Organized as part of their field training coursework, the event aimed to promote values of accountability and civic belonging while fostering student awareness regarding the importance of preserving the school environment and its facilities.
The initiative featured a series of instructional and guidance segments focused on maintaining school cleanliness, preserving classrooms, courtyards, desks, textbooks, and public facilities, and reducing behaviors that lead to property damage. The trainees also encouraged students to collaborate and participate in voluntary initiatives aimed at improving their school environment.
The program sought to reinforce positive behaviors and promote individual and collective responsibility among students, highlighting that maintaining school infrastructure is a shared commitment that requires continuous awareness and involvement.
This outreach activity falls under the field application requirements of the Social Work Department, designed to equip trainees with professional skills in planning and implementing awareness programs, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, and expanding their contributions to educational institutions and the broader community.
