*SANA'A, Yemen — October 5, 2026* — The Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana'a University, convened today for its fifth regular meeting of the academic year 2026/2027. The session was chaired by the Head of Department and attended by faculty members to address key academic and administrative developments across departmental programs.
Central to the discussions was the formal approval of the program specification document for the Ph.D. in Sociology, tailored to align with institutional quality assurance standards and recent advancement in the discipline. Additionally, the council approved course specifications for the Master’s preparatory year, aiming to structure course content and elevate the rigor of graduate education.
The council also finalized the admission of a new cohort of doctoral candidates in accordance with university academic guidelines.
