The Department of Geography and Geoinformatics at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana'a University, held its fifth regular meeting for the 2026–2027 academic year on Saturday. The session was chaired by Department Chair Dr. Mohammed Al-Bakri, with faculty members in attendance.
The meeting addressed several agenda items, primarily focusing on the progress of first-semester final examinations. Faculty members reviewed key operational challenges encountered during test administration and outlined targeted solutions to ensure seamless examination delivery and prevent future disruptions.
Additionally, the department reviewed the progress of graduate lectures within the Master's program. Discussions centered on refining lecture schedules and delivery mechanisms, emphasizing strict adherence to the academic calendar and curriculum guidelines while cultivating a supportive academic environment to enhance student learning outcomes.
Participants also deliberated on broader academic and administrative matters impacting departmental operations. Several proposals were discussed to elevate academic performance, streamline administrative procedures, and strengthen faculty coordination in support of the department's educational and research goals.
The meeting concluded with the approval of actionable recommendations and procedures regarding the discussed topics, with an emphasis on monitoring implementation to maintain academic quality and fulfill departmental goals for the current academic year.
