Second-year students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment - Sana'a University conducted a practical session on plant grafting as part of the "Fundamentals of Horticulture (Practical)" course. Supervised by Eng. Elias Manea, the activity aimed to enhance applied skills and bridge theoretical knowledge with field agricultural practices.
The session introduced the concept of plant grafting and its importance in vegetative propagation and enhancing plant characteristics. Students received hands-on training in various grafting methods, learned about the specialized tools used, and practiced the step-by-step procedure according to established technical standards.
The activity was designed to develop students' practical competencies, equip them with essential experience in vegetative propagation techniques, and empower them to apply scientific knowledge in executing agricultural operations—ultimately strengthening their expertise in horticulture and plant production.
This activity is part of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment's ongoing efforts at Sana'a University to enhance applied education and advance field training methods, contributing to the preparation of qualified agricultural professionals possessing the scientific knowledge and practical skills required to advance Yemen's agricultural sector.
