Students from the Department of Crop Science and Plant Breeding at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at Sana'a University executed plot division tasks in alfalfa fields in preparation for planting forage crops. The practical activity was conducted as part of the Field Practicum course under the supervision of Eng. Ibraheem Al-Mazaal.
This activity aligns with the Faculty's initiative to strengthen practical components within its educational curriculum. It aims to empower students to apply theoretical knowledge to field agricultural practices while equipping them with essential technical skills for field preparation, land management, and plot readiness for cultivation.
Additionally, the hands-on session helps build students' capacities in performing core agricultural operations and introduces them to technical procedures related to field preparation, setting up agricultural experiments, and crop cultivation. This hands-on experience enhances their professional competence, preparing qualified graduates equipped with both scientific knowledge and practical expertise to support the agricultural sector.
These practical exercises underscore the vital role of field training as a core component of agricultural education. It plays a key role in advancing students' technical skills and enhancing their expertise in forage crop production, thereby supporting agricultural development efforts and meeting the demands of the livestock sector.
