*Department of Agricultural Economics Reviews Master's Thesis Proposal by Ishraq Al-Hazoora*
*SANA’A, Yemen — September 22, 2026* — The Department of Agricultural Economics at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Sana’a University, hosted a seminar today to review the Master’s thesis proposal (Seminar 1) presented by researcher Ishraq Ali Mohammed Al-Hazoora. Her proposed study is titled:
"The Role of Yemeni Women in the Agricultural Food Economy: A Case Study on the Capital Secretariat-Sana’a."
The proposal was developed under the supervision of:

• Prof. Ali Al-Yasani — Main Supervisor
• Prof. Khaled Qasem — Co-Supervisor
The review and examination committee comprised:

During the session, the researcher presented her comprehensive research plan, outlining the introduction, problem statement, research questions, objectives, significance, methodology, literature review, theoretical framework, hypotheses, and proposed analytical tools.
The committee members provided constructive academic feedback aimed at refining and enhancing the study, ultimately approving the thesis proposal.
The committee commended the researcher’s efforts and highlighted the importance of the study, noting its vital role in assessing and analyzing the multi-faceted contributions of Yemeni women to the agricultural and food economy in the Capital Secretariat-Sana’a through their productive, economic, marketing, and household roles.
The session was attended by faculty members, members of the Academic Quality Assurance Committee, graduate students, and interested researchers.
