Acting Prime Minister Allamah Mohammed Meftah, accompanied by Sana’a University Rector Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, today inaugurated the Diagnostic Clinics for Cardiovascular Diseases at the University’s Cardiac and Catheterization Center, marking a new step toward strengthening specialized medical services and improving the quality of healthcare provided to cardiac patients.
In the presence of Mr. Hasan Al-Kabous, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Cancer Foundation; Allamah Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, Mufti of Yemen; Dr. Abdul Latif Abu Talib, Director General of Kuwait University Hospital; and Judge Abdul Rahman Al-Mutawakil, Allamah Meftah inspected the project’s facilities and the modern medical equipment supplied to the Center, including advanced diagnostic and medical follow-up capabilities for cardiovascular diseases.
Deputy Director of the Center Dr. Nader Al-Ameri explained that the new clinics form part of Sana’a University’s efforts to develop specialized medical services and strengthen the Cardiac and Catheterization Center’s capacity to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services in accordance with the latest medical standards.
He noted that the Center provides an integrated range of services, including cardiology and cardiovascular consultation clinics, echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, ultrasound and Doppler imaging, electrocardiography, and a specialized pediatric cardiology clinic, with a capacity of approximately 100 patients per day for examinations and consultations.
Sana’a University Rector Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that the addition of the new equipment and specialized clinics represents an important step in developing the Cardiac and Catheterization Center and strengthening its medical and diagnostic capabilities. He noted that this expansion will contribute to providing high-quality specialized services to patients while enhancing the University’s medical and educational role in serving the community.
He added that the University attaches considerable importance to developing the Center by providing it with modern equipment and upgrading the skills of its medical and technical staff, in line with advances in diagnosis and treatment and in support of Sana’a University’s role as an educational, medical, and research institution that contributes to meeting the community’s healthcare needs.
Acting Prime Minister Allamah Mohammed Meftah commended the inauguration of the diagnostic clinics, describing them as an important addition to the Cardiac and Catheterization Center and a step toward strengthening its medical, diagnostic, and therapeutic services and improving the quality of care provided to cardiac patients.
He expressed hope that efforts to further develop the Center and enhance its performance would continue, enabling its medical and technical teams to carry out their duties effectively and provide patients with high-quality specialized medical services.
The Acting Prime Minister also inspected the conditions of patients at the Center and reviewed the level of medical and therapeutic care provided to them, wishing them a speedy recovery.
The inauguration was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Subari, Medical Director of the Cardiac and Catheterization Center; Mr. Abdullah Al-Edelah, Administrative Director; and a number of the Center’s medical, technical, and administrative staff.
