The research aimed to examine the impact of e-wallets on promoting financial inclusion among financial services and technology companies in the Capital Municipality of Sana’a. It also sought to measure the levels of e-wallet usage and financial inclusion and assess the impact of different e-wallet dimensions on promoting financial inclusion.
The research yielded several findings. It showed that e-wallets have a statistically significant impact on promoting financial inclusion, explaining 50.1% of the variance in financial inclusion. The findings also confirmed statistically significant effects for transaction speed, trust, and costs and fees. However, no statistically significant effects were established for ease of use or privacy and security.
The researcher made several recommendations, including strengthening trust and transparency in digital financial services; improving transaction speed, service quality, and technical support; reviewing costs and fees; enhancing user interfaces; expanding partnerships and e-wallet acceptance points; and developing digital infrastructure and national payment systems.
The thesis defense was attended by faculty members, researchers, students, and interested participants as well as the researcher's colleagues and family members.
