Third-year trainees from the Social Work Department at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University, conducted an awareness activity at Al-Osaimi School titled "A New Beginning Toward Excellence and Success." Supervised by Lecturer Muna Al-Riyashi, the initiative aimed to enhance academic awareness among female students, foster learning motivation, and encourage them to capitalize on the start of the second semester to improve academic achievement and reach their educational goals.
The activity featured motivational messages and guidance focusing on the importance of time management, setting academic goals, preparing effectively for lessons, and leveraging past experiences to overcome challenges and address shortcomings—all contributing to improved academic performance and increased opportunities for success and excellence.
Additionally, the activity aimed to boost students' self-confidence, build a sense of capability to achieve success, and instill values of diligence, perseverance, and responsibility. It also encouraged students to adopt positive attitudes toward learning and embrace the importance of planning and continuous effort in achieving academic progress.
The Faculty Deanship emphasized the significance of this initiative at the start of the second semester as an opportunity to evaluate past academic performance, benefit from acquired experiences, and define new priorities and goals. This approach helps students overcome challenges and enhance their academic performance, grounded in the principle that academic excellence is linked to dedication, sound planning, and sustained effort.
This activity is part of the field training programs conducted by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Sana’a University for trainees in the Social Work Department. These programs enable students to apply professional knowledge and skills in designing and executing awareness initiatives, contributing to social and educational awareness while integrating theoretical and practical aspects of student preparation and professional qualification.
