As part of applied activities aimed at promoting educational and social awareness, third-year trainees from the Social Work Department at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University, conducted an awareness activity at Arwa School titled "A New Beginning Toward Excellence and Success." Supervised by Lecturer Muna Al-Riyashi, the initiative focused on helping female students adopt positive approaches to managing second-semester requirements and boosting their readiness to achieve their educational goals.
The activity addressed several themes related to developing study skills, notably time management, prioritizing tasks, and setting goals, alongside the importance of reflecting on past experiences to address weaknesses and improve academic performance. It also featured motivational messages and educational guidance encouraging students to maintain regular attendance, work hard, and actively participate in the learning process.
Additionally, the trainees emphasized the importance of building self-confidence and fostering intrinsic motivation among students, as well as developing their ability to face academic challenges with determination and responsibility. This approach enables students to navigate study demands with greater awareness and continuously pursue academic improvement.
The activity highlights the essential role of educational guidance in supporting students throughout their academic journeys by providing practical advice to help them organize their efforts, leverage their potential, and transform academic ambitions into clear goals sustained by perseverance, planning, and continuous effort.
This initiative exemplifies the role of the Social Work Department at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in bridging academic training with field practice. It equips trainees with practical experience in designing and executing awareness programs and engaging with educational institutions, thereby developing their professional skills and enhancing their capacity to serve the community.
