The Department of Translation at the Faculty of Languages, Sana'a University, held a seminar today to review the Master’s thesis proposal presented by researcher Mokhtar Hasan Qasem Qasem Al-Hamdani, titled:
(Translating Islamic Inheritance Jurisprudence Terms into English: Strategies and Challenges Among Yemeni Professional Translators).
The proposal review and examination committee comprised the following faculty members:
- Prof. Abdulhameed A. Ashuja'a
- Assoc. Prof. Mujeeb Ali Qasem
- Assoc. Prof. Ibraheem Nagi Tagaddeen
- Assoc. Prof. Abbas Abdulmalik Mutahar
- Assoc. Prof. Abdulwadood Ahmed Annuzaili
- Dr. Arzaq Jamal Al-Ansi
During the session, the researcher presented his research plan, outlining the study's objectives, significance, methodology, theoretical and conceptual framework, proposed hypotheses, and analytical tools.
Following a comprehensive discussion by the committee members, the research proposal was approved. The committee praised the researcher's academic efforts and highlighted the importance of the topic in advancing Translation studies.
The session was attended by several graduate students and interested academic members from the faculty.
