Department of Translation at the Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, successfully convened a research seminar to discuss the Master’s thesis proposal submitted by Mr. Saleem Muhamed Ali Muhamed Arahabi.

His research, titled "Applying Nord's Functionalist Model to the English Translation ofThe Broken Wingsby Kahlil Gibran".

During the session, the candidate presented a comprehensive overview of his scientific plan. He outlined the study's primary objectives, emphasizing its significance in the field of translation studies. The presentation covered the theoretical framework, methodology, hypotheses as well as analytical tools to be employed.

Following an in-depth discussion and rigorous scholarly exchange, the committee formally approved the research plan. The members praised the candidate’s efforts and highlighted the significance of the topic to the field of translation studies.

The seminar was well-attended by graduate students, faculty members, and researchers specialized in linguistics and translation.
